Covid-19 may be long gone, but we are still encompassed by the perils of the pandemic. We still have to be cautious in what we breathe, eat, and drink, whether at home or in the office. While one can still ensure a certain level of hygiene at home, there is no one marking a quality check on the food and water we eat and drink in the office.

So, what options are you left with? Quit job? Neh, I won’t be coercing you into doing so. Rather I recommend you give a shot at WFH lifestyle if you’re not already doing so. To ensure you get paramount facilities while working from the comforts of home, Australia-based micro dwelling manufacturer ‘Removed’ has introduced Coolangatta tiny house on wheels.

Dubbed Coolangatta the 27.5 feet long and 7.8 feet wide tiny house is based on a triple-axle trailer and boasts a steel frame with black aluminum windows. Clad in ‘Waterproof Engineered Vinyl Floor Boards’ and ‘VJ Panelling’ on all interior surfaces, Coolangatta comes insulated with Insulation Batts Earthwool R 2.5 and Insulation Subfloor R 1.4. “All electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, and construction completed by certified tradespeople,” mentions the company.

The biggest USP of the home is its lofts, one of which can be accessed via a storage–integrated staircase, while the other can be reached through a removable ladder. The main loft sleeps two people on a queen-size mattress, who can watch a TV facing the bedside, while the secondary loft hosts an office set up with a long benchtop that houses a desk. So unless your boss is too adamant about calling you to the office, or your job demands footwork, the Coolangatta tiny house with its office nook is pretty much suited for your professional life.

Downstairs is the living room, kitchen, and bathroom of the house. A significant chunk of the Coolangatta ground floor is occupied by its living room, which boasts a low ceiling. The living room features an L-shaped sofa, which I assume can be turned into a double bed. The living room joins the kitchen, which has quite a bit of storage space, as well as, a two-burner stainless steel gas cooktop, an electric built-in oven, and a slide-out built-in Rangehood. The kitchen also includes a Laminate benchtop that doubles as a breakfast bar. The glass doors alongside a range of windows keep the interior bright and lit.

At the far end of the home lies the bathroom, which looks pretty snug and contains a shower, a vanity washer/dryer, and a toilet. As standard, the tiny house draws power from an RV-style hookup, though off-grid functionality can be added at extra cost. The Coolangatta tiny house is available for purchase at $88,622 ($132,990 AUD).
