Animal loving couple builds 11-foot bed to share it with 7 pets

Reddit user Robdogbird and his girlfriend have built an 11-foot long bed to share it with their five cats and two dogs. Pets are an integral part of their family and they didn’t want to part with them while they were asleep. But accommodating all of them in one king size bed was becoming more and more difficult as they grew up.

Therefore, the only solution for them was to build an enormous, 11-foot bed that would accommodate the entire family in one place. Working on the DIY project, the mega bed is achieved by pushing two mattresses together and building the frame around them. The Redditor skipped extra bed frames and box springs to make place for storage.

As you can see in the pictures, the structure is pretty massive that takes hold of one side of the room; as pets spend maximum time on bed, the couple has clean the bed time and again to make sure it is mould and flees-free.

The pictures submitted on Reddit, Robdogbird received a mix of praise and criticism. For some it is the real way of expressing love for pets, while others find it unhygienic and unhealthy.

The images are currently listed in the section of most viral image on Imgur with approx. 1.5 million views. Well, I’ am not sure about the others, but for me, it is a gesture of love and care for pets.
