Despite writing about furniture for the past few years, it is pretty rare that I come across items that turn heads quite like airplane desks. Aircraft furniture is not just a conversation starter, it boasts a great deal about your business. Dubbed Aviator Executive Desk, this furniture piece I will be particularly talking about, measures 96-inches in width and 31-inches in height. Comprising an aluminum jet engine and wing in its core structure, this spacious desk is ideal for offices and can even add a focal point to your study at home.

However, it isn’t a typical desk that is upcycled from airplane parts. The large aviator executive desk is rather a piece that is made from scratch. Inspired by vintage fighter jets, it carries a gritty vibe to it. Constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum panels covering a solid wood frame, the desk merges aesthetics and power.

Poised on one leg and a jet engine (13-50 inches in diameter), the desk is masterfully handcrafted to create a unique piece of furniture. In the pictures, one can easily spot the stainless-steel screws along the seams of the satin aluminum carapace simulating the rivets of vintage aircraft. In case you want to do some paperwork, there is a black leather writing section with fine nailed trimmed on the surface of the desk, offering a user-centric design.

Black upholstery fabric runs throughout the desk as it also covers the drawers with smooth sliders. Talking of drawers, the desk features an open drawer inside the jet engine, which can ideally function as a secret compartment. Other than that, there are three shelves inside a smaller base that can be used for storing small to big accessories. The desk is currently up for grabs at the Rustic Deco website costing approximately $9,000.
