A living room never looks complete without a coffee table, so you’re always hunting for a table that complements your style and goes well with the décor. But when space comes for a premium, you want one that functions as a charming center table and doubles as a work table. Seems Dutch product designer Basvelle Koop has just heard you right. Koop has designed Stringer table for Odesi – a perfect coffee table you can work on, without worrying about the wire clutter.
The Stringer is an elegant wood and steel table ideal for working, eating and spending leisure moments with family and friends. Inspired by a surfboard, the Stringer table features a narrow oak beam on the bottom that gives the design its strength. The beam is slightly shorter than the tabletop, which makes provision for indents on both ends of the tabletop to lead electric cables to the ground without creating a displeasing mess of wires on the table.
A multi-functional designer table that’s ideal for living and working, the Stringer starts at €3.150 ($3,595). It comes in two different tabletop lengths, 240cm and 300cm. There are different choices of colors in both the tabletop and frame. The tabletop is available in two colors – light oak (Mist) and dark oak (Charcoal), while the frame is available in three colors – black, white and beige grey.
