BLUETTI has been addressing the problem of power outages with innovative backup solutions, offering slimmer and smarter alternatives to bulky generators. As part of this effort, the company introduced a nifty, solution-based FridgePower at CES in Las Vegas earlier this year, after it was first revealed at IFA in Berlin in 2025. The slim yet powerful power backup is now available for crowdfunding on Kickstarter from April 16 to May 31, featuring attractive super early-bird pricing starting at $759, which is 42% off its usual retail price.
BLUETTI FridgePower connects directly to your refrigerator to keep it (and freezer) running for a few days during outages, operating quietly to ensure food and medicines remain fresh and protected without the need for additional installation. Made sleek and stylish, especially for small apartments or condos, it is the first of its kind backup unit designed to keep refrigerators running uninterrupted.
Positioned as a reliable backup with a simple plug-and-play setup, FridgePower can fit into the small space above a refrigerator or be mounted on a nearby wall. In either configuration, it can seamlessly blend with the décor. Besides powering a fridge, the device can also supply energy to small essentials when needed. Though, as BLUETTI notes, it is “designed for fridge backup first.”
Being an ultra-slim profile, the FridgePower measures just 75 mm (2.95 inches) thick. Its low-profile aesthetic allows it to blend seamlessly into modern home environments without compromising interior decor.
Despite its slim build, it delivers a robust 1,800W of continuous power (3,600W peak), making it more than capable of handling high-draw refrigerators, sump pumps, Wi-Fi routers, and other critical loads. The base 2,016Wh capacity provides over 21 hours of backup for a standard refrigerator. For extended outages, the system is expandable to over 8kWh by adding three slim BlueCell 200 batteries, stretching the runtime to four days. Additionally, with integrated solar charging support, FridgePower can extend backup duration to several weeks, offering true energy independence.
The runtime, however, “depends on the fridge size, compressor cycling, room temperature, door openings, and what else is connected” to the FridgePower. But with a breakthrough 4W AC idle drain, the FridgePower optimizes the 2kWh power range to extend refrigerator runtimes by an additional 4.5 hours. Whether used as a high-efficiency standalone unit or scaled for broader appliance support, it ensures essentials are powered longer when it matters most. The unit also supports UPS switching with a 10 ms transfer time, preventing even momentary interruptions to connected devices, including the fridge, router, or security cameras.
FridgePower is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, and Google Home, enabling smart control and automation of lights, appliances, and more. The BLUETTI app allows users to monitor battery levels, check power status, and receive smart alerts, including extreme weather notifications, so the unit can be charged in advance. To provide an even more accessible user experience, these advanced insights are mirrored on the optional Display 1 Magnetic Screen. This low-power interface offers a dedicated, at-a-glance visualization of critical system activities.
BLUETTI is offering the FridgePower (Standalone Unit) on Kickstarter starting at $759 (42% off). The FridgePower + BlueCell 200 bundle is available for $1,398 (44% off).
According to details shared in the crowdfunding campaign, FridgePower is already in mass production, with shipping expected to commence in June 2026. Early deposit backers and subscribers will receive priority shipping, ensuring they are among the first to experience the device. For the U.S. market, the offer is all-inclusive of taxes and shipping fees. This initiative aims to empower American households to stay resilient against sudden power outages during the upcoming hurricane season, summer storms, and extreme heatwaves.
