The standard size of any European tiny house is about 20-22 feet. But, when it comes to the United States of America, both the tiny house movement and the tiny houses get a bit bigger and a lot better. Ohio-based Modern Tiny Living is a name known for its brilliant tiny home construction. The builder gained quite the prominence for its 100K tiny house, built for Walmart-owned brand Allswell.
Now, the tiny house firm has unveiled a 28-ft luxury model Catalina, which features all the comforts of a standard-size home. Boasting a bold exterior finished in two-tone cladding and a luxurious interior, this tiny house on wheels is outfitted with a number of luxe features. It comprises a master bedroom, a gourmet kitchen, a king-sized loft, and spa-like bathroom.
Most folks are used to the idea of a loft bedroom in a tiny house but in Catalina’s case, the options are plenty. Built on a triple axel trailer, the first floor of the tiny house comprise a private master bedroom. It also has a king-sized loft offering more sleeping space whether for kids or guests, though you might have to buy mattresses on your own. Apart from the glass front door, there are plenty of big windows and a skylight allowing natural light to pass in.
The first floor features an open-concept kitchen adjacent to the small living area housing a sofa with drawers. Offering spectacular views outside the house, the kitchen is equipped with an oven, a cooktop, a full-sized refrigerator, custom cabinetry, and items of daily use. Thanks to the huge glass windows, you can admire the panorama around the house from the seating area at the kitchen.
Another attractive feature of the tiny dwelling is a gorgeous, full bathroom at the rear end. Surrounded by custom tiling, the bathroom features a luxurious bathtub and a shower offering a spa-like experience. There is also a composting toilet, racks, cabinets, and a washer/dryer combo unit. Starting at $89,000, Catalina is redefining the luxuries of a tiny house in style.
