Texas-based tiny house manufacturer Decathlon Tiny Homes has unveiled its latest creation, the Dolphins tiny house on wheels. Measuring 32 feet long and 8.6 feet wide, the mobile home sits on a triple-axle trailer. Rather than the flat or single-pitch rooflines common in the segment, the Dolphins features a striking three-section design with two gable sections flanking a central hip roof.
The tiny house boasts a smart-siding wooden exterior, complemented by an outswing exterior door, which completes the look with a clean, welcoming entry point. Inside, the Dolphins tiny house boasts luxury vinyl flooring that runs throughout, paired with butcher block countertops, bringing warmth and practicality to the kitchen.
As is the case with most Decathlon Tiny Homes builds, the living room is delivered unfurnished, giving owners the freedom to configure the space entirely around their needs. There is a raised ledge running beneath the window that offers a natural home for planters or decorative accents, adding a thoughtful design touch without consuming usable floor space.
Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. Compact but complete, the kitchen comes equipped with a two-burner cooktop, a 30-inch microwave, and a 9.8 cubic foot refrigerator, supported by overhead cabinets, drawers, and additional storage cabinets. Opposite the countertop, a storage-integrated staircase provides access to the loft bedroom above while keeping clutter off the floor.
The loft bedroom sits above the bathroom and comfortably sleeps two, with enough space for essentials. Below it, the bathroom features a one-piece flush toilet, a dual-threshold shower, and a full vanity. Not to mention, washer and dryer connections that are included as standard. On the main floor, a second bedroom also sleeps two and is outfitted with wardrobes sized to accommodate clothing for a couple.
No two Dolphins builds need to look alike. Decathlon’s optional Poseidon upgrade catalog offers buyers an extensive menu of premium add-ons to tailor the home entirely to their lifestyle. This particular build includes the three-light crystal vanity light in matte black and the Rea Dora stone countertop washbasin.
In the kitchen, options such as the K. Golden Brass KGB120 bronze sink with a decorative front pattern, stone countertops, a tile backsplash, a farmhouse sink, a folding bar top, and over-sink shelving bring a high-end finish to what is otherwise a functional cooking space.
The Dolphins tiny house is powered via a standard RV-style hookup. Any standard Poseidon model will cost $112,750, but with upgrades, we estimate this to go beyond $140,000.
