Among a gaggle of tiny house makers operating in Australia, Konpak stands taller than the rest. The NSW-based tiny house maker emphasizes adaptability in its designs, and the company’s latest model, Jordy, reflects this spirit. Interstingly, the Jordy tiny house bestows a sense of privacy to every living space without actually putting up dividers.

The biggest highlight of the Jordy is its unconventional design, particularly its asymmetric roofline and width-wise configuration. To put that into context, traditional tiny houses boast a layout where the living room, kitchen, and bathroom are all incorporated length-wise along the same line. Jordy however, features an unconventional layout with kitchen placement that runs along the width of the house. This clever choice, coupled with a folding staircase, keeps the kitchen and bathroom to one side, freeing up the rest of the floor plan for a generous living space.

As pointed out by Auto Evolution, Jordy’s asymmetric profile is evident in its exterior as well, where the ceiling pitch changes right at the end of the loft bedroom, giving Jordy its unique layout. It is to be noted that Jordy boasts a height of 14 feet, which enhances the sense of openness, making the home feel airy and far larger than its modest footprint suggests.

Measuring 23.6 feet in length and 7.8 feet in width, the tiny house also features large windows and sliding glass doors. The openings flood the interior with natural light, thus amplifying the sense of space without adding square footage.

Most of the space inside the home is occupied by the living room. Spacious enough for customization, the living room can either be equipped with a cozy sofa setup or be utilized as a flexible multi-use zone.

Nearby is the kitchen. While the kitchen sacrifices long countertops due to its width-wise layout, it compensates with a practical kitchen island that doubles as a breakfast bar, storage, and prep area. The kitchen is accoutered with all the essentials ranging from high-end appliances to top-quality furnishings.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the full-width bathroom featuring a toilet, shower, and vanity feels surprisingly luxurious for a home of this size, rounding out the thoughtful use of space. The tiny house features a single full-height bedroom that lies in the loft section. Accessible via the folding staircase (optional), the loft bedroom sleeps a couple with ease. Built to the same standards as traditional residential construction, Jordy tiny house is durable and customizable, with options for off-grid features like solar power or rainwater collection.

The core model is priced at AUD 125,000 (approximately $79,000). However, the company also offers a myriad of customization options. With every add-on, the price increases. Despite that, the Jordy tiny house remains one of the most affordable and functional models you will find in the land Down Under.
