One would usually relate to Italy for its mouthwatering pasta and pizza or the tactical football game. In spite of that, the design nerds recognize Italy for its renascence and the artists it produced. Famous for their symmetry, the Italian gardens are one important element of the renascence period and Cristina Celestino decided to pay a tribute to the garth with a new modular sofa collection.

Dubbed Parterre, the new sofa system designed by Celestino for Quinti reminds of geometric designs in Italian gardens. This reminds me of Flez 2 and Pent Modular furniture system but the thing about Parterre that distinguishes it from others is its variation in shape and height of modules. In the case of Parterre, multiple modules can be combined together as a modular sofa system, irrespective of their size, shape and color. This high level of flexibility allows user to create infinite configurations, resembling the design of the renaissance gardens.

How does one configure the modular furniture design is totally up to the person. Whether you want the furniture system as a living room centerpiece or prefer using it as a chilling area, it is your decision to make. Overall, the Parterre sofa reflects to the rich and elaborate world of Italian gardens, where the modules freely interlock with each other in a dynamic and fluid way.
