There is a striking contrast in how tiny homes are being designed in Australia versus Europe. The recent mobile homes we have covered from Australian manufacturers have all followed a single-level layout. European tiny homes, by contrast, tend to abandon that philosophy in favor of dual-loft designs that make the most of vertical space. A prime example is the Tommy tiny house, designed by Poland-based tiny house builder Craft House.
Built on a double-axle trailer, the Tommy measures 23.6 feet long and 8.2 feet wide. Its exterior is finished in durable thermo-pine cladding paired with standing-seam metal siding and roofing. The tiny home comes equipped with double-glazed windows that complement the façade, maintaining healthy airflow while drawing natural light deep into the interior.
The biggest USP of Tommy is its boutique hotel-inspired interior infused with Scandinavian cabin warmth. Notably, the tiny house features engineered hardwood flooring that pairs beautifully with tongue-and-groove Scandinavian spruce walls and ceilings, whereas the black railings and slatted accent walls introduce a contemporary edge. The layout comprises a living room, a full-size kitchen, a bathroom, and two lofts, every inch carefully considered to make the most of the available space.
Stepping inside, you are welcomed by a central, well-appointed kitchen equipped with a two-burner induction cooktop, an electric oven, an undercounter fridge, a dishwasher, and generous storage throughout. This flows naturally into a cozy lounge area anchored by a large sliding glass door that dissolves the boundary between indoors and out, flooding the space with natural light and framing panoramic views of the surroundings.
The living room includes a sofa that can also transform into a makeshift bed. Tucked nearby is the bathroom, which features a tiled, glass-enclosed shower, a toilet, a floating vanity, and an electric radiator. Not to mention, underfloor heating and smart air conditioning that ensure comfort in every season.

One area where the Tommy tiny house particularly stands out, especially when compared to single-level mobile homes, is its dual-loft configuration. Both lofts serve as sleeping quarters. The primary loft is accessed via a staircase with built-in storage underneath, while the other uses a space-saving folding wooden ladder that tucks flush against the wall when not in use.
Each loft offers cozy timber surroundings, a comfortable mattress, safety railings, and thoughtful bedside elements. Combined with the living room sofa bed, the Tommy can comfortably sleep up to six people.
Like most European tiny homes, the Tommy runs on a standard RV-style hookup. Pricing starts at around €45,000 (approximately USD $52,000), but can go up to $80K and above, depending on configuration and chosen equipment level.
