Rationally speaking, all tiny houses are the same. They feature a gorgeous living room, a gourmet kitchen, and a spacious bedroom, at times a couple or even three. Despite the proximity in the core structure, every tiny house is still way different from the others. What makes them stand out from their counterpart is the clever design that the builder incorporates in the dwelling.

Case in point, the Cherry Picker tiny house. The 26 feet mobile habitat features many accents of beautiful recycled native Rimu timber throughout the house. This includes a stunning bookshelf made by a local craftsman. We’ll get to this part later and begin with the exterior first.

Designed by New Zealand-based tiny house manufacturer, Build Tiny, the Cherry Picker tiny house is finished in vinyl and cedar accenting and has a number of windows offering fine vistas of gorgeous New Zealand landscape. In addition to offering pleasant views, the tiny house windows allow natural light to penetrate inside and kiss the interior. Then we have the glazed doors, which not only bring the outdoors in but allow air passage in and out.

Speaking of what’s inside, the tiny house has a living room equipped with a sofa bed. Adjacent is the dining table that offers seating for two. Speaking of the X factor, as already mentioned, it is the recycled native Rimu timber that has been used in the bookshelf. The same wood is used on the stairs and shelves as well.

Nearby is the kitchen of the tiny house. It features a stainless steel counter and is accoutered with a sink alongside a number of appliances from an oven with a propane-powered stove to a fridge. Not to mention, a removable cabinet unit on wheels, a pull-out pantry, and a small dining table which we’ve already discussed above. Interestingly, the tiny house also features a shelf outside which can be accessed via the kitchen window. In addition, there is a dining table outside where you can wine and dine in the company of shimmering stars.

Well, moving inside, there is a bathroom adjacent to the kitchen that can be accessed via a sliding door. It features a composting toilet, shower, and sink. Above the bathroom is the sole loft of the tiny house. It can be reached through a storage-integrated staircase and sleeps a couple of people on its king-sized bed. You can even gaze at the night sky from the skylight in the ceiling.
