The Maple model by tiny Timber Homes accommodates a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two loft bedrooms, and a complete bathroom to ensure a comfortable life on the road. Measuring 8 meters long and 2.6 meters wide, and based on a triple-axle trailer, this tiny house does not include features for a luxurious lifestyle, but offers the essentials for downsizing.

The Maple Tiny Home features a mix of dark corrugated metal and wood siding on the exterior. Its asymmetrical shed roof is not only an aesthetic feature but also helps maximize interior headroom for the loft area. The large double glass doors are another highlight, opening directly into the living room.

The interior is divided into three main zones. The bathroom is located at one end of the tiny house, just past the kitchen. It contains a glass shower cabin, a toilet, a vanity sink, and a laundry area. The kitchen occupies the central space, with a four-person dining table under a bifold window. The linear kitchen maximizes counter space and includes a full-sized professional range hood, which is rare for homes of this size.

One thing that you notice outright is the exposed wooden construction inside. The kitchen countertop, flooring, dining furniture, and a sliding barn door to the bathroom add to that rustic look. The design places large windows strategically, and the best example is the wide horizontal window that sits directly above the kitchen dining table/counter setup. This makes the interior feel significantly larger.

The lounge is at the opposite end of the tiny house, which includes an L-shaped sofa next to a wood-burning fireplace. There are two loft bedrooms in the Maple tiny house. The first one is located above the kitchen and bathroom and contains a double bed and some storage space. The second loft bedroom is located above the living room and is accessed with a folding ladder. It can also sleep two people on a double bed.

Unlike many tiny homes that leave the area above the kitchen open, this model uses a shelved loft overhang. This provides storage space for books and plants without blocking the high ceiling feel.

As noted by New Atlas, the Maple tiny house starts at NZ$105,000 ($68,000), and you can also opt for a longer 9-foot custom version.
