Alex Dodson of Burned by Design, based in Barnsley, England specializes in custom-themed fire pits or BBQs. We have seen fire pits in shape of ATST, Darth Vader and many other famous Si-Fi creations from Alex, but the Millennium Falcon fire pit is perfect for the galaxy far, far away.
It is a scaled-down version of Millennium Falcon whose profiles were prepared in a CAD software over two days. The profiles were precision laser cut from 3mm mild steel. There are folding parts forming the ship’s cockpit, lid and detailing, all been mounted to a 500mm steel bowl that forms the body of the ship and fire bowl.
The Millennium Falcon fire pit has a well-hidden hinge which means when not in use the lid can be closed, making it a tiny, fully detailed spaceship landed in your backyard. Fold open the rear section to reveal the fire pit. It measures 75 x 55 x 35 cm and weighs about 30 kgs.
He handcrafts the Millennium Falcon fire pits on order, with price starting from £799 (approx. $970). You can also ask him for a bigger model. For more inspiration and fit pit ideas, check out Alex Dodson’s interview with us!
If you have it, the Millennium Falcon fire pit will serve suitably and will be a conversation starter in your backyard.
