This ADU Mini 16 by Canadian builder Minimaliste has a lot to offer to its dwellers. Despite being the smallest unit in the company’s foundation series, it comes equipped with all the necessities that make this Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) perfect for rental or occasional use with utmost comfort and quality. Due to its compact size, this ADU takes up less space and can be adjusted anywhere in the backyard. Based on the foundation, this dwelling is intended for a short-term stay for a young couple or a single person.

Measuring 16 feet long and 12 feet wide, it has a clutter-free modern exterior that blends with the surroundings. The exterior has a mix cladding of standing seam steel with vertically installed hidden fasteners, and horizontally installed wood grain imitation steel.

The trims are 26G steel, whereas the windows and door are made of aluminum and colored in black. There are available color options for both the vertical and horizontal sidings. There is a large patio entrance door and windows to keep the unit luminous with natural light.

Even with a 200-square-foot living space, the interior has ample room to accommodate a full kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a dining area. All is done immaculately in a single-floor space achieving the utmost comfort with a feeling of openness.

Inside, the flooring is done in stone polymer composite and comes in three different colors; maple/natural wood, gray, and dark brown. The ceiling and woodwork are stained to complement the flooring and the walls are finished in white for a brighter look.

There is a kitchen by the entrance, with an L-shaped countertop that extends to a dining area, a sink, ample cabinets, and open shelves. There is a cooktop and under-counter refrigerator to complete the kitchen. A large window by the dining area offers lovely views of the outdoors.

Move on from the kitchen and there is a compact bathroom with a shower enclosed with a glass door, a toilet, and a vanity sink. Then we come to the bedroom area adjacent to the bathroom. It accommodates a queen-size bed fitted between two wall closets. Priced at $70,200, the ADU Mini 16 is your ideal backyard home.
